Rad am Ring successfully ‘on tour’

Cologne and Rhens were the sporting stops for the Rad am Ring team in May. At Rund um Köln, the ‘Wattatsia factory team’ – which we sponsor – flew the flag and finished second in the team classification of the 60 km race. In Rhens, we focused on the off-roaders at the Rhein-Hundsrück Marathon. RaR project manager Thomas Schork competed himself in the long-distance race (80 km/2,200 m difference in altitude), securing a victory in his age group and an excellent fourth place in the overall standings. 

In addition to our sporting involvement, we were also represented with a booth at the expo on both occasions. The wheel of fortune has now become a permanent fixture of our presence and was constantly surrounded by crowds. For the now traditional, informative and light-hearted exchanges with our friends and those interested in Rad am Ring and Philipps Bike Team, Rad am Ring veteran Alexandra Fraas was on hand in Cologne, whilst in Rhens Thomas Schork was flanked by his colleague and triathlete Janina Späth.

“The people and brands behind Rad am Ring and Philipps Bike Team see themselves as an active part of the cycling scene. Ultimately, as athletes, we organise for athletes, and so we are very happy to support such events with open ears and eyes,” explains Thomas Schork.
