Test- and touring routes: Off the race course

Cycling on the Ring is also fun if you come there without competition ambitions. There are various test tracks and tour options on which accompanying persons, touring cyclists and all those who feel like a lap in the wonderful Eifel landscape in a relaxed manner can pedal as they please. The routes for individual riding are signposted, but can also be downloaded on the smartphone via the Rheinland-Pfalz-App (Rhineland-Palatinate app). If you don't want to rely on signposts and mobile phones, you can have the guides of our partner MTB Xpert guide you on some delightful tours: on offer are "Grüne Hölle" (Green Hell) – on the road bike over the Nordschleife (22 km) as well as two mountain bike tours over 14 and 26 km, which can also be ridden with e-mountain bikes. If you would like to do the latter but don't have an e-mountain bike: Rad am Ring offers the possibility to rent some from the RaR rental bike fleet at the temporary rental station in pit 33.
